The Elvie Wearable Breast Pump

The worlds first silent wearable breast pump how revolutionary is this pump! It is the absolute answer for some women but I wonder about the amount it will yield from a mother’s potential milk supply if she always uses the Elvie pump. The reviews are conflicting. Do some of your own comparison when you first get the Elvie, test it against your present pump. I would not advise the Elvie to be the first pump the mother chooses. The Elvie is a great fit for some after returning to work and with limited time and places to pump for their baby but at the beginning it may not be the best pump to help bring in a milk supply. This pump sells for $240-$573 depending on if you get help with your insurance company.

Here is 15 pros and cons with the Elvie pump:

7. The electrical outlet needs a USA converter

8. It takes 2.5 hours to re charge the pump

9. It works differently on different mothers and depends on how well the nipple is seated into the flange.

10. The pump is controlled via the app

11. The pump holds 5 ounces per side reflected in cc or ml’s.

12. The time left on the battery charge is viewable

13. The charge lasts for 3-4 pumps

14. It has many working parts that need to be washed after each use

15. You cannot check the latch or look at the amounts you are pumping while the pump is in use.
